Library Rules
Loan Policy
Member of Kant Kaw Taw Library must agree with the following circulation rules:
1. Don’t hand over the membership ID or card to others.
2. You have responsiblility to / must return the borrowed items on time, if not you will receive an overdue notice.
3. Borrower must pay a fine of 1000 kyats per week if the borrowed item is not returned on the due date.
4. Borrower cannot renew pre-reserve books.
5. Treat the borrowed item with respect.
6. Don’t underline or mark in borrowed books.

Loss or damage to Library materials and member card
1. If the book is lost or damaged, the borrower must immediately report to the Library and will be required to pay the current cost and shipping payment.
2. If the member card is lost or damaged, the borrower must inform the Library and will be required to pay a fine of 2000 kyats.
Do and Don’t
1. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the library.
2. Do not bring food and drink in the library.
3. Please do not speak loudly in the library area.
4. Please place your mobile phone on silent.
Donation Policy
1. Kant Kaw Taw Library welcomes monetary donations and donations of books or journals.
2. We do not accept damaged and inappropriate materials.
Membership policy
1. Library member (only online library) will be able to use all resources on the Kant Kaw Taw online library site.
2. Library members (online and physical) will be able to get access to both online resources and physical books.
3. New members will need to register by completing an online registration form. The following documentation must be uploaded:
a. One passport photo
b. Photo of front size of NRC card
c. Payment transaction
4. Renewals need to fill in the form again and upload:
a. Payment transaction
5. Student memberships expire one week after the end of their program.
6. Members must use all library resources in accordance with applicable copyright laws.
7. The Library grants access to the general public as well as to other researchers who are interested in the Library collection.
8. Membership is valid for one year and must be renewed annually.
